Second work session get blocks level and all glued into place

Plan is to get the pillars built all the way up to the final level where the boards go.
Setting up the layout for the benches and making sure the measurements are all in the correct spot.

we built a jig to make sure the spacing was correct every time.

we mixed mortar to make the final leveler and so the blocks have a way to stick to the base.

we built up a a bench completely without glue so we can see how it should look when it is complete, and to make any changes if they were needed.

First work session to get the bases made

Plan is to have all the holes dug and filled in with gravel, cinder block and a little bit of cement to help keep it level

Too start off we had to mark out from the center pole and mark where the center of the bench will go, then we would have to go out 3 feet from the center point to mark one edge of the pillars, we then did an outline of the pillars so we have a rough idea of how big the hole had to be.

After the first bench was dug out we used it as a guide to see how deep we had to go.

After we started one hole we had to mark out the second bench. After the second bench was marked out we had to mark out the third. There were two scouts per a bench to dig and it turned into a friendly competition for the scouts against the adults
This is the first complete base done and leveled that we are using as a guide to go off of.
